Executive Search Company specialized in the recruitment of top and middle management profiles, FED Africa is operating in partnership with international and local groups in order to develop their businesses in Africa.
We are looking for one of our client, a multinational group in biotechnology, a Channel/ Distributor manager West and Central Africa based either in West Africa or Central Africa.
Your missions
- Develop and grow the life sciences solutions business directly and through channel partners in West & Central Africa
- Establishing working relationships with distributors and customers in the region
- Build and maintain a solid working relationship and high level of trust with VIP customers.
- Based on profound knowledge, develop objectives to continue and expand business in all associated market segments.
- Together with local Marketing, build and execute plan for market development in the region.
- Competes for all existing and develops new sales opportunities within the territory to meet or exceed targets.
- Provide accurate forecast and lost order reporting as well as competitive information.
- Gathers, analyzes and delivers information from the field to allow the company to develop strategies and products appropriated to the market.
- Ensures all necessary resources needed are used efficiently and effectively in order to increase the business. Co-ordinate all issues with key clients between sales, service, support, customer services, marketing and finance.
- Directs the local direct sales team
- Builds and develops highly motivated and powerful teams.
- Develops strategies for the channels, appoints and dismisses channel partners to drive growth and customer satisfaction.
- Ensures best teamwork cross-functional practices to support channel partners and end-users
- Engages resources from across the organization to support growth in the markets.
- Implements and monitors effective performance management of channel partners, including compliance with financial & regulatory management practices
Your profile
- A higher level or academic degree (BSc)/ MBA an advantage
- Fluent in English and French language
- Minimum 5 years’ distributor management experience within pharmaceutical, industrial, academic and diagnostic clinical healthcare segments
- 5 years’ experience in Life Sciences preferable
- 3 years Commercial experience with distributors
- Strong cultural awareness and an ability to build successful relationships
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to influence across multiple cultures, regions, and functions, and operate at all levels in the business
- Must be highly collaborative and engaging, a strong relationship builder and comfortable in highly matrixed and complex environments
